story book

Well, I just wrote the rough draft of my essay for photography on Andy Goldsworthy...I haven't written an eloquent, flowing essay like that for a while, and it makes me happy that I wrote it for photography and not for any other class.
As for my concentration, I went to Borders today and looked at a lot of children's books. Halfway through flipping through them, I figured I was supposed to be paying attention to the story lines and not so much the illustrations, but I found a lot of inspiration in terms of composition (it hadn't occurred to me to do pieces stretching over two pages) and medium (one book I looked at had paper with the consistency of corduroy, but paper). Later I was inspired for story ideas by thinking about specific little friends in mind that I might write a book for.
I think it'll take a while for me to come up with a story line, but I do think it will be worth the extra time because after I get a story down, I can plan out what the pieces are going to be, and that'll probably save me from agonizing over what the next piece to work on will be...

tell me your thoughts.
