Egon Schielepiece: I'm not sure actually..
what I like: brush strokes, how his white is never really 'white'. sallow quality of subjects.
similarities: emaciated figures, self-portraits, almost pornographic characters (he's a rebel)
Kay NielsenPiece: hold tight to my shaggy coat (aww)
what I like: I like her sense of composition a lot, her sense of proportion of bodies and the fairy-tale quality/old books feeling
subject similarities: horses, mythical creatures, fairy tale stories, droopy trees
Ralph Steadmanpiece: computer shark
what I like: chaotic lines, minimal but effective color
similarities: political figures, blood, monsters
Janne Peters, photographerpiece: dont' really have names..
what i like: all of her shots have a very clean, neat feel to them and she captures a quiet beauty in everything
subject similarities: the color white, detailed compositions/set up of objects. backgrounds of solid colors. domestic life
Lilli Piripiece: number 10
what i like: the 'softness' of her work, delicate use of watercolor, clean drawings
subject similarities: Australian animals, girls, letters (the mail kind)
I like clean drawings...line quality is important..umm I don't think I learned anything I didn't already know, but it was inspiring in the least!
concentration ideas so far:
transportation and how that affects/influences/reflects lifestyles
portraits/portraiture
dreams/dream images
the adventures of ______ through time period, historical style or individual artist style
illustrating and writing a children's book
...I'm pretty sold on most of these; every time I think of something new, I really want to do that! I need something for that ______ though.
This weekend, I decided I want to be a sports photographer, even though I probably won't be one. But how awesome would that be? I'd work for ESPN or sports illustrated or some other ...sports related magazine, and I'd go to NBA games all the time, attend crazy soccer games, see sunny/rainy baseball games, travel frequently and get sent to the Olympics...all to take pictures. So sick. I think I'm going to ask for an appropriately sick camera for christmas..

NO! Please don't become a sports photographer. Become anything but that. Write children's books and put little images in them saying crazy things that will mess the children up for life. Anything but a sports photographer.
